Senior Cloud Architect & Career Strategist
15+ years in highly visible, customer-facing technical roles across financial services, healthcare, government, and media. I dive deep technically, communicate clearly to any audience, and build the kind of trust that gets hard problems solved.
Cloud technologist, trusted advisor, and career coach.
I started in desktop support and systems management supporting U.S. DoD programs at Eglin Air Force Base — building a foundation in networking, containerization, and security in private data centers. From there I went deep into cloud, freelancing on cost optimization and storage before moving into full-time contract roles and eventually joining AWS as a Senior Technical Account Manager.
At AWS I supported an enterprise Healthcare & Life Sciences company through the height of COVID — building out their cloud operating model, removing blockers, managing escalations, and accelerating key business milestones. After that I led cloud migrations for eight State of Georgia agencies through a major data center exit, and I'm now at JP Morgan Chase leading infrastructure engineering for the firm's third-largest line of business.
I also coach tech professionals on resume strategy, interview prep, and job search execution — and I've built a multi-property real estate portfolio across five major U.S. markets along the way.
I dive into the details — logs, configs, architecture — to find what others miss.
I've presented cloud topics to engineers, executives, and state government agencies — 50+ sessions.
I build trust early and use it to clear the path for customers and teams to move forward.
Enterprise financial services, government, healthcare, and media — in roles that required both technical depth and executive presence.
Technical depth across the full cloud stack — from architecture to delivery to cost governance.
Projects and wins that stand out across 15 years of cloud work.
Performed an org-level analysis that surfaced excessive firewall rule spend. Led a detailed remediation effort and delivered the results — learning along the way to watch tone even when delivering good news.
Supported migration of Eli Lilly's global supply chain, manufacturing, and finance operations to SAP S/4HANA on AWS — where one hour of downtime equals $10M. Focused on cost optimization and right-sizing during dev to build trust and enable easier testing.
Led all eight State of Georgia agencies through a major data center exit to AWS. Delivered 50+ onboarding and technical sessions, built runbooks, automated CrowdStrike agent installation, and implemented a NIST-aligned security posture for a highly regulated agency.
Won first place for a cloud-native OpenTelemetry proof of concept using OpenSearch and machine learning — built to improve observability and anomaly detection for infrastructure teams.
Took ownership of a Systems Manager implementation that had 14 open support cases and a customer on the verge of abandoning it for WSUS. Resolved the backlog, stabilized the environment, and kept the customer on the platform.
Mentored a colleague from a non-technical background through cloud fundamentals, certifications, and job search strategy. He landed a cloud networking role and is now a Cloud Security Engineer.
Contracted to create exam questions for the AWS DevOps Professional certification — drawing on deep hands-on experience with pipelines, deployments, and cloud operations.
Built out a FinOps team and practice at an enterprise HCLS organization — educating staff on AWS cost tooling, establishing Reserved Instance and Savings Plan strategy, and creating dashboards for ongoing visibility and governance.
